Vista to windows 7 running solid.

New here. Looks like a nicely populated and helpful forum board. I have a dell Desktop. Like a year and a half old or a little more. Was a vista machine. I bought an upgrade from some guy off craigslist of win7 for dell. $45.00.Of course a legal unopened package meant for his laptop, he didn't want to leave xp. Surprisingly, on clean install it installed in 10 mins like it was made for my pc. I am delighted with the lighter meaner win 7. I'm using windows firewall, essentials and avast for security. Have done no mods and it is running nice. Peace.

Recommended freeware.
