Full HD...What hapened?

My 66gig SSD has Win 7 and about two to three gigs of applications. Why is the drive coming up as almost full? Removing obvious Log-Files and cached-data only clears some three gig or so.

Any suggestion?

So you were able to delete all but your last point and get your space back?

Might also set your recycle bin properties to much less than the typical +45GB reserved from a 500 GB drive; 2 gb is plenty for recycling, especially if on a 200-240 GB SSD...

Hi,

I used to use a 60GB SSD for Win 7 but I would strongly advise turning off hibernation and then deleting the hibernation file to free up space as this will be the same size as your RAM. (e.g. 16GB RAM = 16GB hiberfil.sys)

Turn off hibernation by opening cmd.exe as administrator and run the following command:
powercfg –h off

If you completely remove it windows cant make dumps for bsod's though. I would just shrink it to like 1GB.

How full is too full for a hard drive?
When I bring up 'computer" (Windows + E) I've noticed that the bar graph showing how relatively full an external hard drive is is colored blue-green. But whenever there is less than 10 percent of the drive space free that bar turns red. That made some sense for a drive with a few hundred...

Is HD really full?
I have a Dell Inspiron with 500G and only 20.4G left. Doing a rough count of my system's "properties", I am using about 200G. Is it possible that there is something wrong with my HD, that is using up space unnecessarily? I ran a Chkdsk and Scannnow, but it was clean. Do I need to erase a lot of my...

Full HD TV or Smart full HD TV
My partner and I are looking to buy a 55" LED TV and have seen the hype about Smart TV's and have a rough idea what it is all about but looking at the difference in cost am wondering if the smart bit is worth worrying about. I can still hook up the computers to the TV in any case and I am not that...

Computer crashes randomly; full-screen games, full screen movies
Hi all, Been having a few computer troubles, last couple of days. Up until now, I have never had a computer crash since building my machine. Occasionally I've had to force-quit a program, but never random crashes. I've had 6 in the last day or so, though. And none of them have happened with a...

Make Full screen actually look full screen
Hi guys, as most of you know, graphic cards are definitely my weakest point, so hopefully someone can help me. Since upgrading my graphic drivers from 257.21 to 266.58 when I play a game (or other full screen application) I get a "letterbox" effect with about 3 inches being missing from the top...
