is User's SID which is variable on each system.
Let me ask how can I get user's SID in a .reg or .bat file?
It might be different. It might be the same. Some changes mentioned in that tut might go against an agreement between the user and the manufacturer (e.g. an agreement could state that the support info must remain as is). Depending on what is changed - it might go against the Madrid Protocol. Changing Dell to DellSpys could be a libelous statement if presented to the public (e.g. via a kiosk). In addition to getting charged with libel, I would expect the charges to include changing a Registered Trademark.
The chances of the OP getting caught by Intel (and Intel caring) are miniscule. Determining one's ethics based on the probability of getting caught is a matter of personal integrity. That said, I'm not qualified to cast the first stone.
If the OP wants to change the reg key for all existing users, then I would think that a script (VBS, PowerShell, AutoIt, AHK...) would be needed to enumerate the user SIDs. However, the first paragraph in the first post mentions "Add or Remove Programs" (Programs and Features?) and yet the reg file deals with where files are found. Has the OP already renamed that folder within the filing system?
