Are you saying that every brand of computers has the exact same level of security flaws in their bloatware?

And then there was Lenovo's BIOS stunt:

Lenovo has urged its customers to update their laptops and computers, following revelations that it had surreptitiously installed a script that meant its own unwanted software would reinstall itself even after a full Windows wipe.

The issue was first brought to the attention of Lenovo in May by security researcher Roel Schouwenber. He discovered that through this software, he was able to deliver a “privilege escalation” attack.

In other words, this design flaw makes it possible for cybercriminals to gain administrator-level control over a computer.

Superfish wasn't too bad since it wasn't too hard to remove. Also, only a limited number of models had it installed. The latest FUBAR was the rootkitted crap/adware they installed; that isn't so easy to get rid of. You'd think Lenovo would have learned its lesson the first time around, which is a shame since they make otherwise excellent hardware.

One has the choice to keep the pre-installed crap or replace it.
Many pre-built systems have a bunch of things I wouldn't recommend. That doesn't mean the computer is bad. It means it has junk installed from the factory and should be investigated by the new owner and a decision made whether to keep them or not. To me that is part of being a computer user/owner.
I do agree that the manufacture should do a better job on choosing what crapware comes with their computer system. A better way would be no crapware. I don't think we will see that happen.

Note:
My opinion is from the stand point of someone who has never owned a computer that has had anything install, including a operating system. I know that everybody can't or don't want to build their own computers. But one still has the duty to make sure what is on their system from the factory is what they want and need. Owning a computer comes with responsibilities.

Now for a better understanding of my opinion.
Did Lenove make a mistake installing that piece of crapware? Absolutely they made a mistake.
