An empty "Logs" folder keeps being created on my Desktop.

Hi,

The problem started about a week ago when suddenly an empty "Logs" folder was created on my Desktop. I didn't think much of it and deleted it but then it happened again repeatedly since then. I can't find out why this is happening and what is causing it, did a Full Scan with KIS 2015 many times and Malwarebytes to no avail. I also did AdwCleaner and that didn't find anything. The folder is an empty folder named "Logs". That's it. Just a folder.

The folder seems to be created on a specific time randomly (today's was created on exact 11PM and again at 1.25AM, 2.5 hours after the first one). I wish I could find a way to see which program created what folder, if that is possible then please help.

Thanks,
NeV

EDIT: Another one just popped up at 9.07PM

Take a look at Event Viewer, see if anything is listed as happening at those specific times. It may give a clue as to what's creating the folders.

How do I do that? I've never played about with it and don't know where to look.

Hi there,

Do you happen to play a game called "osu!"? If you do, then rest assured, the problem you're experiencing has nothing to do with any malware/viruses on your PC. The problem comes from the fact that the game creates a "Logs" folder every time you open the application. I've also experienced this as well, being an osu! player.

If you are still unsure or worried, visit the link below. Other players of the game are also experiencing this problem.

Hope this helps,

Cheers.

Click on Start, type in Event in the search box and click on the Event Viewer icon that appears in the list. YOu can browse through until your heart's content there for events that happen at those times.
