Well it seem to work for a while but got reset back to 15. I've done a few restarts and it will stay at never it just seems like it want's to change it randomly at time's when the PC is already not in use for a few mins.

No clue why there's no back up I hack to do a clean install after 10 was a complete fail and I used nod 32 before bitdefender and uninstalled it before getting the other one installed. Nothing else I can see has power saving options.

And this is why we create disk images

I`d be absolutely fine with 15 minutes.

Wow, your monitor goes off during a movie ? That is definetly not suppose to happen, hell I can pause a movie, come back 3 hours later and the monitor is still on and the computer does not go to sleep. (which I think is totally normal)

Even though I have it set to 15 and 30

If you keep having trouble and just can`t figure it out, I would just re install.

Try Turning off the Autoscan not the on access scan of Bitdefender and try the power settings again.

If you have an OEM power management settings in the Control Panel\Hardware and Sound\Power Options delete that.

Have you installed any new software lately? Could be a 3rd party app that's stopping it from going to sleep.
Haven't come across any which prevent changing the Sleep settings but you never know.

I wanna say it feels like it might be bitdefender, I'm a try turning off the autopilot maybe there is something in the profiles that changes it tho I can't see to see what each one does.

Does indeed look like it was the profiles from bitdefender causing the power changes.

I'm guessing you have the free edition of bitdefender? That being the case I would uninstall using this and download and install Windows Security Essentials from here

Another trick by Bitdefender. Don't you just love it.

Why would a anti virus program need or want to control a monitor's settings?

Thanks furydeath for letting us know what solved your problem.
