Hello and welcome pfko your post is a little unclear but I would suggest you run these first for starters
SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker
Disk Check < if necessary include the /f and /r in the command line as per Option2

then these if no go

SUPERAntiSpyware | Remove Malware | Remove Spyware - AntiMalware, AntiSpyware, AntiAdware!
Malwarebytes | Free Anti-Malware Detection & Removal Software
AdwCleaner Download
ADW download from bleeping computer delete any rubbish found with the malware scans
(NB If one is running Kaspersky security it may rant about ADW - just ignore it or disable Kaspersky while the ADW is being used)

Hae you elevated task manager before trying to start the service?
By default you do NOT have administration permissions, even if the logged in account belongs to the administrators group.

Another possibility is to right-click the service and select Properties. Then go to the Security tab and check Ownership and Permissions. Simply reinstalling the UPS firmware might do it as well.

Clickable service start/stop cmd or bat file. Possible?
Not sure if I labelled this post right, or if I am even posting this in the right category/forum. If admins could direct this if need be, that would be cool. What I would like to do is have some kind of .cmd or .bat file that will turn on or restart my PS3 Media Server service, just by...
