Registry Value 'not set'?

Registry values? Some of my registry entries have no value set, is this normal? Then I have found a few suggestions to set the value of a certain register to '0' or 1, will it hurt to set unvalued settings to '0' or '1'?

Yes it is quite normal for some Registry values to be set to 0. Are you having any problems with your computer?, if so post back & tell us what they are.
If not, just leave it alone. Fiddling with the registry can ruin the operating system & mean a reinstall.

What programs are you trying to uninstall from Programs & Features?. Some of those programs are necessary for Windows to work, so it will normally block any removal of them.

What programs have you got in your start up. Click on the Start button & in the Search bar, type System Configuration & when that opens click on the Start Up tab.
Then use the Snipping Tool to do a screen shot of what is set to start. To find the Snipping Tool Click on start, then all programs, click on Accessories & find the Snipping Tool. Here's how to do the screen shot, it also applies to Windows 7.

How to Use the Snipping Tool in Vista

And her's how to upload the screen shot.

Once you have done that post the screen shot back here so we can see what you have in Start Up.

I have shown a screen shot of what you need to supply.

One was a speed reading program I could never use and one was a ballistics program I got sick of. I usually only have Avira anti virus in my startup program, others sneek in occassionally but I usually take them out. What should I have in the start up list?

Normally you only need your anti virus program there.
