Can't login to Windows 7. Sends me back to login screen every time.

This has never happened before. When I turn on the computer, the two accounts show up (both administrator) but whenever I click either of them, the screen just shows the Windows 7 login screen for a while without any text then sends me back to the account selection. This happens when I select either of the accounts, one of them also has a password but that doesn't show up either.

    PLEASE HELP.
    (also don't know a lot about computers ;-; )

EDIT : When I turned on the computer, it went through updates where it says Starting Windows with the Windows logo. Maybe this helps.

It is similar but instead of the screen going black or flashing, it loads just like it usually would but without any text (e.g. Welcome). After a while it sends me back to where I originally was

I'm having the same problem. Just started happening recently. I've tired system restore and it fails every time. I also can't get safe mode with command prompt to load. It just goes to a normal windows based safe mode and I can't login there just like on a normal boot to non-safe more. Sends me right back to login screen. Any ideas?
