Windows 7 Profession update to Windows 10 ( Anyway to check via KEY? )

I am running Windows 7 Professional. I never received the icon in the bottom right for the free upgrade on this machine. I downloaded Windows 10 Update to do it manually however there is no way to verify other than installing it and hoping for the best and if I can't update then it'll make me pay with no way to downgrade.

I have a broken neck and back, therefore I'm already unable to spend a lot of time in any given position so a simple reinstall should only take a few hours, for me it can take weeks with the added software...

I haven't been able to find any way to verify whether or not Windows 10 upgrade will work either by using the COA / Key or the Product Key in Computer Information. Is this a possibility or is the only way to risk it?

What version of Win 7 Pro do you have? If it came from a corporate version, those are not eligible for the free upgrade and you would not get the "Get Windows 10" icon.
