Dell E1505 1GB RAM

Anyone install W7 (Ultimate or similar) on a Dell E1505 w/1GB RAM?

I can read MS minimum suggested hardware all day long, but nothing would beat hearing what someone running the configuration would have to say.

The machine is presently running WXP Pro just fine, and because it ain't broke, I am dumb enough to try to fix it...

Here's a thread on this forum where a guy is trying to install Windows 7 Ultimate and he has only 256 MB of RAM. The installation package is demanding a minimum of 512. You should be OK with 1 GB.

Thank-you!

It can get a bit frustrating installing an OS then reinstalling the old OS - at least now I feel the odds are in my favor...
