Directory path inquiry

Hi

I have an app - Cubase - which requires the user to browse to a specific dir. when creating a new project.

Unlike Windows' copy/move to folder:

- there is no 'folder path' field which enables you to paste or type a dir:

So, the Q I have is whether this is app specific, or a Windows thing? If it's the former, then there is nothing I can do. If it's the latter, is there some reg hack, or small app I can d/l to add that 'folder path' field?

Thanks in advance.

That dialog is generated by Windows, but many of its characteristics are program-specific. In particular, that textbox is one of the option the calling program sets, so each one can display it or not as you've noted.

You can't control such a detail in any way. It depends on how the particular application is developed and unless it provides an option (very unlikely) it cannot be changed.
