    Windows Easy Transfer migqiz.exe error

System: Windows 7 Home Premium, Service Pack 1
Upgraded to Windows 10 in November, but rolled back to Windows 7 in December.
Want to migrate to another computer running Windows 7 Pro
On the Windows 7 Home Premimum
    Click on Start
    Type in Windows Easy Transfer
    Click on Windows Easy Transfer
    and I get:

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------
migwiz.exe - Entry Point Not Found

    (X) The procedure entry point
    ??0FileNotFoundException@UnBCL@@QEAA@PEAString@1@@Z
could not be located in the dynamic link library unbcl.dll.
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Help? I cannot figure out how to fix or restore this. Running repair doesn't work, and attempting to download a copy doesn't work.

Let's say machine A has Win 7 Home

And machine B has Win 7 Pro.

What exactly do you want to "migrate" from A to B?

    Data only?

Or do you want to put the Win 7 Home system onto machine B?

Easy Transfer is mediocre at best the last I checked, several years ago.

What's the over-riding reason you think you have to use it?

ignatzatsonic, the original goal was to move C:\Users from Machine-A to Machine-B. But, after thinking about it, some of the local profiles are not to be migrated. So, the goal is to move several local profiles from Machine-A to Machine-B.

Easy Transfer was recommended first. But, since it failed first thing I turned to Transwiz.exe. It worked fine for the first few profiles, but failed on the last one. The problem is that the profile that will not transfer is the reason we are migrated to Machine-B. I have attempted to create the user profile on Machine-B, and copy the other profile into it... following MS how to... but when I attempt login the desktop is not laid out correctly and the wallpaper is missing. All the other profiles transferred correctly and look like they did/do on Machine-A.

So, I am really looking for a way to migrate/move Machine-A///C:/Users/Name01 to Machine-B///C:/Users/Name01

But, even if the answer is something other than Windows Easy Transfer.... I would also like to know why this error is occurring and how to fix it.

I can't help you any further.

    I have a one-profile household.

All I can suggest is to pound Google or hope someone else has ideas.

It's possible that there is an Easy Transfer tutorial on this site. I haven't looked. It may be that Easy Transfer has improved in recent years, but it was largely hopeless when I first looked at it.
