The first thing I would do is run a complete scan with MBAM

It sounds like you may have gotten some prankware on your system.
The free version has the same scanner as the paid. So it is fine for doing the system scan. Please post the results.

    Hi and welcome to SevenForums,
Indeed mbam would be a good thing to run also,
    Use Clean boot,
Troubleshoot Application Conflicts by Performing a Clean Startup
Click Start and type in the search box,
    msconfig
Click on the suggestion on top or hit the Enter key,
Go to the Startup section and take some screen shots for a complete list,
Go to the Services section and on the bottom left Check the box to Hide All Microsoft services,
    Repeat the screen shots,
See the links above my signature on how to take and upload screen shots here,
    Cheers.

Out of curiosity, if you disconnect your computer from the Internet do you still have the mouse problem?

By chance have you used a CD/DVD or flash drive given to you by somebody?

You may have a Poltergeist and need the aid of Ghost Busters.
Seriously though, curious when you unplug from the net.
