Random Freeze in laptop when playing games or surfing

hi guys . im new here, im pretty lost ive done almost everything my laptop freezes in random times majority when playing games.alt+ctrl +del doesnt work mouse and keyboard you need to press the power button again to reboot.

BTW: i wanted to do a clean reinstall but i cant do it since my rig is OEM and it was upgraded from vista to win7 .

its a pretty old laptop.

IVE DONE:
im pretty sure its not an overheating issue.
Malwarebytes scan .
update the all the drivers.
update the windows updates.
also this happened after i deleted an annoying virus in chrome.

just an update : found away to reinstall a new clean windows 7 by using usb, still freezes when i try to play a game. warcraft 3 crashes when i try to go to campaign.
