Desktop Window Manger has stopped working...

Hello, I just reinstalled Windows 7. Most everything is fine except for the error message "Desktop Window Manger has stopped working...". I didn't know I had a Desktop Manager for the last 5 years.

How is this fixed or removed?

    Thanks

    Hi Duzzy,

I just got done fixing this not more than 15 minutes ago. I went to Services, found it in the list and stopped it from starting automatically. Then changed it to manual.

    Thanks for showing an interest

Try this. Hit Windows key + R and type services.msc in the box. In Services search for Desktop Windows Manager Service and double-click it. In the properties of the Desktop Windows Manager Service, set Startup type to Automatic. Click Start to start the service. If start the button is not highlighted, click the Stop button and confirm with Yes to stop the service and then start the service by clicking the Start button. Restart the system.
