The original question is a bit vague.
Does "turn off the monitor" mean power it down?
Or does it mean make the screen go blank?

Since the OP asked about this in connection with sleeping the computer, the latter point (screen blank) is not relevant. The screen will go blank when the computer sleeps. There's nothing left to do.

So the question devolves to the first choice: power down the monitor.

I don't think that can be done under computer control. But isn't that moot too? The monitor goes into low-power/standby, so the already low power consumption drops even lower. Insignificantly low, often less than one watt.

That leaves just one possible wish: Turn off the power indicator on the monitor.
Easy solution: paste a small bit of black electrician's tape over the lamp.
    Low tech ... but effective.
    hi

The settings above are for a laptop, since it shows "battery and plugged in". Shutdown means the whole computer. Your settings say you have a desktop. Which are you working with? You are not going to find anything with a desktop that automatically turns the electricity off from the monitor except your finger. You can set the power to make the monitor go blank after a certain amount of time with a desktop or laptop.

There was a little ambiguity in the first post, but that is what I thought you meant, and that you were referring to reprogramming the Sleep button rather than tying in with the Sleep function. I wish had remembered the nirsoft utility, which I used to use (good work, Lance).

There is no program or keyboard key that is going to turn off the A/C power to your monitor that I know of.
I'm trying to understand why it's so difficult to push one button on the monitor. Are you physically handy caped that make it difficult?

    From your post #16

turn it off i mean to me the monitor in sleep mode
That show you exactly why it's important to state thing correctly.

Turning a monitor off is completely different than putting the monitor to sleep mode.

    Have a nice day.
