Did you try booting in safe mode? If you boot into safe mode and find you do have control of the mouse try this trick. Open device manager and delete the mouse device. Reboot into normal mode. Windows should reinstall the same mouse driver you were using. This seems to fix up driver problems more than half the time and is very low risk.

If you boot in safe mode but the mouse is still stuck you should still be able to delete the mouse from device manager navigating with the keyboard.

Was there a Yellow Exclamation Point in the Device Manager? What device was it for?

There was "unknown device not working" further I found this unknown device has no driver. This time I was working in normal mode. Have hard time navigating by keyboard, how do you close a window without a mouse ?

Hit your Tab Button and it will move the Cursor around the Window area. == If you don't have a mouse in your Device Manager, that is your problem. Try this. Take the mouse out of the port, shut down and boot into normal mode. Then put your mouse in the USB port and see if it shows a mouse has been added. If you have a different mouse, I would try it.

Thank you Big Mack,
I did as you suggested mouse still not working. I am sure this " unknown device not working" is the place where mouse used to be, it have yellow triangle also.
Thank God I have a laptop to communicate with you guys.
There is no reason to try different mouse because this mouse work with my different hard drive with WIN XP on the same computer.
It all started when I simply unplugged my mouse. Is there any malware doing this to people ?

Have you tried putting the mouse in a different USB port? == Go into your "Control Panel" and click on "Mouse". You will see a tab "Hardware", choose that and at the bottom choose "Properties". This where you will see several things that might help you. There is a "Driver" and a couple other things. Give that a try.

Under "hardware" tab there are places where descriptions of the mouse should be but there is nothing about any hardware there.

What kind of mouse do you have? Be as specific as you can with brand and model.
