Need help to solve an issue with sounds coming from my speakers?

    Hi,
Since the last two days, I'm hearing voice coming from my speakers and I recognized that the sound/voice are from YouTube videos I already watched but the problem is that even if Google Chrome is close, I will still hear the voice/sound, it's really bizarre although quite frustrating! I tried several things like ruining Malwarebite, CCleaner, Anti-Virus and look at my Google extension if there was a problem but it still didn't fix this damn issue! Do You have any suggestion? Btw, I'm not Schizophrenic! Lol

You could also clear browsing history from Chrome as well as cookies.

As you are using CCleaner you can use it to clear browser history & cookies. When you open CCleaner you will see Windows & Applications at the top, select Applications & it should show Chrome. Tick whatever you want cleared, but not memorised passwords if you use those.

While you are at it you may as well do the same for Internet Explorer which is under the Windows tab in CCleaner.

This bugzilla may offer some clues: Bug 757262 - Youtube keeps playing audio after closing It is from three years ago, but you never know.

A couple of painfully obvious ones are:

    • Make sure your version of flash is up to date, and

    • Your version of Chrome is also up to date.

    • This seems to be an on again, off again bug problem with Chrome.

Chrome does have flash embedded so it "should" be up to date, to check while you have chrome open, see your plug-in page or use: https://Adobe - Flash Player - Version Checker | www.adobe.com Latest version is 20.0.0.306 .

Make sure flash is also up to date in any other browsers you may have installed that are listed under windows at the version checker site. There could be a very slight chance of "crossover" with unmatched versions between browsers.
