    confusion about language in win7

    hey hey..

after trying out the RC for a couple of days, i recently obtained a german "system builder" version of win7 x64.

however, i noticed some odd behaviour, which i cannot allocate properly.

    e.g. in the start menu:
it sometimes happens, that when i'm moving the folder of a previously installed game into my folder named "Spiele" (german for games)... it would move it there, but at the same time it would create a folder named "Games" and move most of the old content from "Spiele" there.
so, afterwards, i'm having a "Spiele" and a "Games" folder.
Ofc, this sounds like personalized user start menus... but i wonder... on a german version, why would it create a english-named "Games" folder?

that alone wouldn't probably bother me much..
but there's more that adds to this:

    e.g. in my media library
after i've already posted about my troubles with deleting the sample media library songs (which i got solved by now)...
i've come to think, that this is also to a certain degree language-based.... at least, it's odd: i've deleted those song samples, that come pre-installed with the media player manually from my harddrive - and only tried to remove them from my media library afterwards - which wouldn't work.... because win7 wouldn't find the file on the harddrive (big wonder). as i digged some, i found that the library thought the files were saved under C:\User\.... but i only got C:\Benutzer\.... (which is german for user).. which is actually my real user-folder where everything else goes as well..

    so.....
long story short: there seems to be a strange mix-up language-wise and i'm afraid that all these rather tiny issues would pile up and one day break down on me

and while you might consider it a nuance.. i'm feeling more and more uneasy while working with win7 at the moment..
my best bet is, that it has eventually something to do with this copy being a "system builder" version. i got to admit, that i didn't run (didn't even look at, so don't ask me what it is ) the second cd/dvd that came with the install dvd - which read something like.. "use me before you install win7".. which i didn't... and which didn't matter (untill now?), because everything seemed to work properly right after install (haha).

    so..
    quite some text.
i hope, someone of you is patient enough or bored at work ;P

    regards

    jan

i'm sorry, but i have to bump this.

it's really getting on my nerves and i haven't found a solution yet.

however, the extra dvd i spoke about in the first post is an oem-builder.. so, no i indeed have no need for it and it's obviously not the source of my issue.

    still, please..
    somebody help me out.
