It is in fact too warm. The snow is melting and we all have a nice suntan.

So do you think there is enough place on the Toshiba to do the Imagine of Macrium Reflect ?

Thanks for all help in advance :)

    Yes.

C has about 116 GB used. An image of it will take up 50 to 70.

G has 443 free. It would hold maybe 7 images.

H has 488 free. It would hold maybe 7 images

I has 261 free. It would hold maybe 4 images.

F has 406 free. It would hold maybe 6 images.

    You have lots of space.

A question: why do you have the Toshiba split up into 4 partitions?

Multiple partitions like that is generally an inefficient way to use the maximum space on the drive. You could just use 1 partition on the Toshiba, and then have folders such as "Photo Archive" and "Photos series shopped" and "Images" or whatever you need.

    Hi,
Yep just make a folder with a date of the creation of the image and point Reflect to that folder

I agree folders are better than a bunch of partitions but that is another story :)
Just pick F and create a folder.

Hello, I know nothing about partitions. A friend of mine put them on the Toshiba in the very start when I mentioned I wanted to use it to store my pictures.

I will read up about it and come back to this thread. At the moment, I am just afraid to do something wrong and remove what's on it by accident.

    Be back later,
    Thanks for your answers,

Thanks Mike :), I was just reading some threads about merging partitions without loss of data.

    Some people lost their data.

I will study that Mini Tool you recommend right now,

    Thelma:

There's nothing "wrong" with the way the Toshiba is partitioned now into 4 partitions. You can stay with that if you want.

The only problem might be when one of those 4 partitions gets nearly full. It would be a major pain to try to enlarge it at that time. And you can't tell how quickly each of those 4 partitions might fill up. They will likely fill up at different rates.

All 4 are about the same size now. G and H are empty. F is about 10 percent full and I is already nearly half full.

If you wanted to change this, you would likely copy what is now on I to F or maybe to C.

    Then delete G, H, and I.

Then add that space from G, H, and I to F.

F would then be the only partition on the Toshiba.

You'd then move any files you may have copied to C back to F.

    Hi,
Yea you have plenty of space on all of them usually it's not the case :)
Simply moving the files from one to another and deleting the empty partition is harmless

It's best to add as much as possible to the first partition and delete the last and repeat.
