    Need Easy & Simple Fix

I’m recently getting the following errors on certain websites…

    This site can’t be reached

    OR

    Access Denied

You don't have permission to access "http://www.bestbuy.com/?" on this server.
    Reference #18.5fe832b8.1459936985.13f10a0

I may have messed with some settings but don’t recall what changes I did. How can I fix this?

    Thanks,
    Scott

It depends on what settings you "may have messed with"

If it's network settings then you need to go into Network & Sharing Centre and reset all settings to default (set each box to auto should sort things out).

If you have been messing with the browser settings you need to use the help for your browser to reset everything to it's default setting.

This should then cure your current issues

I reset browser settings and this was fixed... This site can’t be reached, but the "Access Denied" was not.

    Thanks

Are you at home on your own internet connection, or at a hotspot or workplace system as these type of systems will often restrict the sites you can reach

Hello, I am not sure about this, but if his problems are recent, could he just do a system restore to a date all was OK ?

Would that restore any wrong settings in visiting servers and websites ?

This only happens on certain websites, right? For example, Best Buy can't load but Amazon can, correct? I don't think some kind of workplace filter or antivirus is blocking you. Usually, your antivirus would have a custom warning page, and if a filter such as those employed in workplaces or the HOSTS file is blocking the website, it would display the default browser error page (with the "Try Again" button). And anyway, if you're being blocked by some kind of workplace or parental (haha) filter and it is blocking Best Buy, it would certainly block other online shopping websites. Correct me if I'm wrong, but "Access Denied" is the web server's message, so he technically connected to the web server, but it rejected his IP, and you could confirm that you did connect to the server by pinging it in Command Prompt.

This might be a long shot, but your IP is not blacklisted, correct? And you aren't using VPNs or TOR? Blacklist Check should tell you if you are in some universal IP blacklist. (just click "Check blacklists", it fills in your IP automatically)
