Windows 7: Extend Volume on C: Drive grayed out, can't extend volume.

You can only extend the volume adding adjacent unallocated space.

See "Method Two" in the first tutorial Partition or Volume - Extend

You can also do it by third-party software like EaseUS Partition Master.
