Attempt Run Older Software -- Screen Clears to Black and then Error

Both in attempting to install and older program (which appears to install) and
then executing that program --which does NOT run --
the screen clears to black -- waits a bit -- and then get an error dialog box.

Never seen this occur before.
Any Ideas

Triple Boot - Win 7 x64 Ultimate x2 + WinXP-mce x1

Hello,
You might consider installing the OS the program was originally designed for (such as a dual boot Windows XP,) or perhaps other solutions might be running them in a virtual machine (see another excellent tutorial by Brink Windows XP Mode - Install and Setup... and if you are really lucky, some of them might work by simply right-clicking the .exe icon and selecting to run them in compatibility mode (maybe win XP sp3.)

JohnPC:

Thanks for responding. Had tried ALL compatability modes before post. NO GO!.
Thanks for link.
A VM seems overkill for one small program. But if you need it you need it.
