Windows updated about 30 days ago. New Message screen on Start up

I have tried to solve this problem for 30 days. I shutdown my Windows 7 Home Premium. When I try to reboot using my F 1 key on my screen there is a( 4 x 4 ) Message Block.

It says Step 1. Mode Setting
    ( X) Select the environment
Choose the settings mode you want
    (x) In Store ( is checked ) ( Home ) is unchecked

    ( X ) Enter ( is selected ) ( Home ) I cannot install text to select home

I try to reboot my computer using the F 1 Key ( rapidly hitting the key ) on start up but I cannot bring up where I can select ( Home )

    Thanks gosports1

    Hi and welcome to SevenForums,
Not sure why you're using the F1 key
Have you tried the F8 key or Delete key

There was a update that may have affected asus boards but it was mainly a 7 pro issue but I guess could of affected home premiums ?
After installing Microsoft Update KB3133977 for Windows 7, some users may encounter a "Secure Boot Violation" , which makes the system fail to boot into the operating system.

Yep I do see this update was offered to home premium too

    Hi,
The delete key might let you enter your mother board bios which might even be the F10 or F12 key as well so you can double check the Advanced Boot settings as the other hyperlinks show

F8 might give you the Boot menu list so you can select the hard drive windows is installed on or dvd/ cd or flash drive to boot too.

Unfortunately a lot of computers are different but F2 and F8 seems to do common things
F2 might get to the bios setup
F8 on legacy bios will also let you go into Safe mode or safe mode with networking...

Unless re-configured, the F1 key is usually a HELP key.

? How are you shutting down your PC. (you really didn't say just what your PC is?)

Thanks everyone on suggestions. I am still trying to solve the problem. I do not know about any of the Function keys meanings, just trying all the different F-1 thru F-12. Attached is the picture that stay on my screen for about 3 minutes and block the rest of the information that I am trying to read..

I shut down my computer by using the task bar at the bottom of my screen,

That looks like an option for the TV/Monitor that you have hooked up to to the desktop, It sets the brightness etc for the use selected and often sets a demo mode for shop use

you need Home to ensure that there's not a demo mode started

try using the TV/Monitor remote rather than computer keyboard

Absolutely spot on. Looks like Store Demo mode is on where the picture image on screen will be "ON STUN" and cause eye fatigue. This is not a computer issue it is settings on the monitor. You will have to use the up down menu and select keys on the bezel of the monitor to fix this like Nigel pointed out.

I think you are 100 % correct on it being on the T V / Computer Monitor. I now remember I got a Blank screen on the computer and was having trouble. I grabbed the TV remote and turned the TV on . Once I had a T V picture I switched to the Computer, I was glad the computer Monitor came back on. Thanks. I should be able to try this fix that should work. Thanks everyone. I will give you the results soon. gosports1
