    Windows 7 and Boot Times

    PC: Eee PC 900HA
OS: Windows 7 Home Premium 32bit
    Disk: G.Skill Falcon 64GB SSD

So, long story short, I reformated my Eee PC because I couldn't run WEI after the first time. Boot times were great (a bar and a half at the 7 boot logo). However, I installed Daemon Tools Lite and this went up to 5 and a half bars while booting. I am speed obsessed. So, I uninstalled this software and boot times are the same. How can I fix this?

It's definetly there. I only get it because of a BIOS issue (looks exactly like the Vista loading screen) therefore I can't get the new boot screen. However, everything else is fine and working after this. However, the new fancy boot screen isn't my issue.

http://forum.eeeuser.com/viewtopic.php?id=58048 <-- regarding the BIOS issue with most Eee PC's.

    Any suggestions?

Have you tried using System Restore to go back to a state before you installed Daemon Tools?

No, I am afraid. I turned that off before I installed it.

Well, I wouldn't suggest turning off system restore. Instead, I would just configure it to use no more than 2-3% of your hard drive space. That would have probably saved you from this problem that you have here.
