    search function

Quick question - I have a large audio collection - however I want to find all the files in my music collection that are NOT mp3 files - anyone got any idea how to do this.

Actually It doesn't have to be MP3 files, If I want to find what files are say NOT excel files in a large folder structure, how can you do this, it would seem to be a fairly simple request - but I can't see how to do this.

    Anyone got any ideas?

click on folder then search it in right hand corner. ie: .WMA .MP3 .TXT easiest way. or to get everything but mp3 out of a folder search for .mp3 then copy all that show to another folder go back and delete mp3 out of original folder.. separated now

    Urbwolf,

That works, but if I have a large nested folder structure with a large number of files, copying all the mp3 files to another folder would not allow me to keep the same folder structure, surely in windows 7 there must be a way of identifying all the files that are not equal to a specific file type in a large folder structure.
