pc turns off when opening anything thats not firefox

Hello. just started having a problem with my pc. Whenever I boot from my main hard drive which is an ssd. When I open anything that's not firefox my pc just goes black. Even if I open chrome It does not shut down but my screen goes black and everything becomes unresponsive. However whenever I boot from the HDD which also has a copy of windows on it of course. I can open programs with no problem and it does not go black? Could it potentially be my ssd that has a defect in it? I will post a video of the issue within the next 10 minutes.

Can you open Notepad (without the screen going black) if you boot to the safe mode?

Download/save the latest version of the VideoDriver.
    Uninstall the current VideoDriver.
    Restart the computer.

At this point. the display should look weird.
    (e.g. have a low resolution)

Can open one of the apps that was causing the blank screen?

Install the latest version of the VideoDriver.
    Restart the computer.

If your screen looks OK without them, then that is your answer. There must be a Windows driver that is making things look OK.

You mentioned that as long as you do not open Photoshop or any other game it won't shut down. Maybe it's your power supply not giving enough juice on the card? Most system usually automatically shuts off when there's not enough wattage to avoid damaging computer components (That is, if you have "Automatic Shutdown on Power Failure" on in BIOS).

agreed I believe you are correct. I will just move all my stuff that I want to keep to another hard drive and do a clean install of windows.
