    Green line running down screen


    Hello,

    Don't worry, I've already looked up answers to this issue before, but none seem to work. Basically the issue is that I have a green line running vertically down my screen, a little left of the center of the screen. Obviously I couldn't take a screenshot of it, but there is one thing different than everyone else's issue with this: the line seems to go away after a while, then a few days later it'll show back up. Suggestions?

    Hi Deadfult, welcome to the Forum.

    Do you have an external monitor that you could use with this laptop, to see if the green line appears there as well. If it doesn't then the laptops monitor may be faulty.

    This website mention trying an alternative monitor as well as some other things to try.

Okay, When I just turned on my computer 10 mins ago, and everything, and i mean everything, was green. I tried restarting it like 4 times and the issue has not been resolved. Im looking for a HP laptop now, but please tell me there's a fix to this!
When I access my Music files (2600 files, 185 folders, 20GBs) on my Samsung (D) drive I get this slow green line in the address bar going from left to right, takes like 15 seconds to go across, I'm assuming it's indexing(?) the music folder and can't really do anything until that green line...

I own a dell inspiron 1545 laptop. it has a bright green horizontal line going down the middle of the screen. There is only one thin line. If anyone know how to fix this please help. Thank you - Austin
Iv got a 8800GTX and iv got a green line starting to run down the screen. I spoke to some one who said there was a program that i could download to turn up the speed of the fan on the card as it might be over heating. But if im honest I didnt take to much of what he said in at the time. Any one...
Just installed Windows 7 on my other hard drive and after it installs, i get the boot screen with the glowing lights then the screen that says starting up services and after all of that i get a black screen with a thin line about a centimeter thick on first time boot up after install, i can start...
