'A Sharing violation has occurred when accessing..' - Installing Prog.

Hello everyone,

New to this forum, and really hope I can sort my issue as this is incredibly frustrating me now as I am unable to install most programmes. I recently de-fragged my HD to see if it would improve the performance of my computer.. (Not much change). However whenever I install new software onto my computer, I get a message stating:

'A sharing violation has occurred whilst accessing.. etc etc (And then points to the file)' This path directory can change quite a few times, I've even checked this file and it is shared..?

I use my computer for Flight Simulator so have lots of software to install every now and again, but with this error message it's slowing down the process and not allowing me to install such programmes.

I have Windows Security Essentials running and have excluded my FSX location on the C: drive but it's still giving me these errors when installing programmes.

It is weird because if I say ok to the error, the installation does not complete, but if I load up the installer again then it will sometimes install ok.

I will add this happens to many programmes/installations so I think it's an OS issue somewhere, not programme related.

I really hope I can fix this.

Many thanks!
