Replace Windows password file with another one

Hello, i am trying to enter in a admin account (but i don't know the password) on a laptop[Laptop1] with Windows 7.
I have another laptop [laptop2] with Windows 7, with the admin account (i know the password from it )and i found out that you can copy the file where the Windows account password is located.
If i copy the file from my [laptop 2] to [laptop1] it will change the admin's password?

if on the
[laptop1] the password is "123456"
and on [laptop2] the password is "123"
if i replace the file from [laptop1] with the [laptop2]'s, the password from [laptop1] will replace to 123?

Do note that admin account and Administrator account are different.
Normal the 1st user to login after installation, it will be <user account> as admin account by default.

Whereas Administrator account is the highest level and include able to lock the admin & normal users accounts.

If there is an Administrator account not use, then you can seek how on this forum.

Where did you get that idea from?

All administrator accounts are functionally equivalent.

H72david, if you have an alternate administrator account you can login to on the machine with—[laptop1]—you’re in luck, the fix is super simple.

If you don’t have administrative access, then tough. You can look around the forums, there is bound to be a few things. We also have a few tutorials you can try, but don’t expect any method to be a walk in the park.
