    Folders in Start Menu?

In the past I've always used Classic Shell to modify the Start menu and Explorer to work as near as I could get to XP. But I just installed Windows 7 on a netbook and I'm trying to keep it as lightweight as possible.

So in all the years I've used Windows 7, I haven't used a lot of its native interface. Is there a way to create Start menu subfolders to be populated by shortcuts to programs? I usually do this to group often used administrative applets, monitoring utilities, remote desktop connections, music utilities, and similar.

Yes, very helpful. Thanks. It's interesting that the feature isn't enabled by default.

One thing isn't completely clear. Just so I understand, the tutorials says:

This will show you how to add Pin to Start Menu to the context menu of a folder, drive, or library for all users in Windows 7.

You must be logged in as an administrator to be able to do the steps in this tutorial.
Does this mean that any folders pinned will be seen by all users?

Yes, that's the way i read it, any folders pinned will be seen by all users.
If you want something different displayed depending on User, I'm not sure the best way to do that (if possible).

You can ask that question in the tutorial by Brink to get his attention.

    I don't think so.
Anything you do in the desktop and Start menu will come under each individual user.
This is customize to each user preference.

As for program & application, there is an option on the For all user Or yours only.
