Windows 7: dllhost.exe makes pc slow

dllhost.exe makes pc slow

Everytime I go into the folder where an thumbnail of video gets loaded,i notice an program dllhost.exe running in task manager and i takes large amount of the memory and my pc runs really slow,please help.

Consider installing the software linked in Post #29.

Other than that - move the contents of the problematic folder onto an external drive and disconnect it until you can figure out the problem video(s)

I've had the same problem. What solved it for me is to change the folder view from "medium icons" to "list".
The problem is caused by missing thumbnails. Windows is trying to recreate them (unsuccessfully), that's what throttles the CPU.
