Search Can't Find Any Files In Windows Explorer

When I type the name of a document, video, picture, mp3 or whatever else into the search in windows explorer and it can't find any of them, even if I open my library and am look right at it.

On a side note, I've had this computer for about 5 years now and I can remember before that the search worked just fine, but since then I've had to reinstall windows twice since then (long stories) and I don't quite remember when it stopped functioning correctly, but now I am just bound and determined to solve this problem. I searched around on google and tried running the windows search troubleshooter, but it found no problems.

If you need more details please ask, thanks

Hi, I am not a programmer, and don't know how, or even if it is possible, to create a macro or program in Windows that will take a database of file names and search for them in certain Windows folders. Is this possible? If so, what is the easiest way? Thanks, Richard

My windows 7 search function fails to find files I know are there.
When I type a search into either the start menu or a folder search or anywhere it fails to find files. I tried re-indexing, but it actually reduced my index from ~3500 to 279 files. I don't understand why it won't find anything. I transferred a lot of folders from my old computer (Vista) to this...
