Long delay after windows start screen

two things to check ...

Do you have any regular USB type drive or any remote mapped drives. If these are for some reason not available at boot it can cause this type of delay.

Also, If your Graphics card driver has recently been updated this can sometimes cause delay when changes are not fully compatible with your settings, often reloading the previous driver will solve the issue until a future more compatible driver is available

Over the years I have occasionally seen these issues but it is a rare occurrence

What I have seen in the past with laptops that are used both as part of a company network and also as stand alone devices is that when booting the laptop, when not connected to the networks, will spend a long time trying to connect to network resources that are not available - These resources may be USB devices, manually assigned links to networked folders, and also those set as part of the users network profile.

The fact that some services/systems may require access to specific hardware to work, (network/USB) printers, scanners, NAS systems can also case delays as the laptop searches and re-searches for the device.

This may not be a common issue but can certainly generate the delays you are experiencing

If you follow the guide to get to the advanced startup settings there is an option 2 to enable boot logging if you set this on and boot it will display a verbose start-up onnext start - if you see a long delay at a certain point then the issue lies with either the process before or after ( depends on if the process sends a finished code.) so we'll know better how to proceed
