    Cross-Hatched lines?

In DISK MANAGEMENT the partition on a HDD shows cross-hatched lines. What does that signify?
    Thanks

hi could you post a screen shot of disk management so others can see what your talking about.
I think If you left-click any other partition it will become the selected partition and become cross-hatched

Thanks OSCER; Have you ever posted something that you realize was so DUMB you wished you could promptly erase it? This was one of those times!
You are exactly correct in your evaluation. TO briefly explain my 'dumbness', I have a 5-year old computer with W-7 Ultimate on it. Got a RAID enclosure and 2-3T HDD's and decided to experiment with it. Set them up as GPT and it did not want anything to do with it. Trying to figure it out I discovered the cross-hatching and by that time I guess I was too frustrated to effectively think any more
Decided to 'bag' the RAID idea and just set up the individual drives (which work fine). Thanks again!
