Hi! Is this what you're looking for?
Quote:
After Startup Repair has run, a text log with diagnostic information and repair results is generated. The log file is located at: C:\Windows\System32\Logfile\Srt\SrtTrail.txt
You can find it and more at the bottom of the blue note box. Here: Startup Repair

I looked for a SrtTrail.txt in my files but no luck, maybe you have one. How to open? if yours ends in .txt, notepad should do it.

Hi Anak,

Thanks for your reply. The problem is this dialog doesn't open when I choose to repair. Shoud I need to have those error below in order to get the dialog?

Registry corruption
Missing or damaged system and driver files
Disk metadata corruption (MBR, partition table, and boot sector)
File system metadata corruption
Installation of problematic or incompatible drivers
Installation of incompatible Windows service packs and patches
Corrupt boot configuration data
Bad memory and hard disk hardware (detection only)

You're welcome,

Is the "dialog" the SrtTrails.txt file? or is your problem when you go to start startup repair it won't start?

Any one of the errors you listed should create an entry in the SrtTrails Log, I would believe even running a startup repair with a machine that has no problems would create a SrtTrails log that lets you know it found no errors.

What problem(s) are you having? Starting/booting your computer? BSODs?, Frequent crashes?

If you have more than one hard drive or solid state drive unplug all except the one drive that has your win7 on it, then try the startup repair.
If you still can't get startup repair to work but can run your computer or get into safe mode try a checkdisk: Disk Check

You really need to fill in your system specs, hp tells no-one anything and your OS is not Ankara: System Info - See Your System Specs

Do you mean when you click on "View problem details it won't open" it will not open to tell you what's wrong?

What problem caused you to do a "Startup Repair"? What problem(s) are you having? Starting/booting your computer? BSODs?, Frequent crashes?

If you have more than one hard drive or solid state drive make sure computer is off, then unplug all except the one drive that has your win7 on it, then try the startup repair.

If you still can't get startup repair to work but can run your computer or get into safe mode try a checkdisk: Disk Check

When you are finished with checkdisk run: SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker

You need to finish filling in your system specs, : System Info - See Your System Specs

the window itself doesn't display Anak, just the window on the back shows up. How can I get the window on the front? My computer is new, replaced with the old one at the office. I have no issues but I get blue screen time to time. I try to start repair mode on purpose in order to become admin on the computer.

If this "new" computer is replaced with the old one at the office:

Just save any files and programs that you need from it and do a HP factory reset?

I can not install apps and boot from another media is forbidden. Getting the dialog I posted on my previous posts is my only solution.
