Hello. Since loading windows 7, I have been having peculiar problems. For no reason that I know of, I am unable to type text. eg: Explorer loads normally but will not permit text to be written. Also, on occasion, The numbers, caps and scroll lock buttons are flashing and will not respond to button pressing. In both cases shutting down the computer solves the problem as opposed to restarting the computer which does not . After shutting down, Explorer takes many minutes to activate. As this is happening every two or three days, it is becoming a nuisance.
    Any help will be appreciated.

Sounds like your install may have some major problems. I would recommend trying a repair install which leaves your programs, data and most settings intact. See the link in this post for a tutorial on this site that contains detailed instructions and explanation of the process.

I'm not certain, but it sounds as though there is a problem with the driver for the keyboard. You have not complete your system specs, so I have no idea of what keyboard that you have. Check in the Control Panel>Keyboard and see if everything looks okay there.
