    No HTML Thumbnails?

    Hi all,

Have installed Win 7 64 bit recently and all fine except for this little problem.

On viewing folders with html pages in and selecting the thumbnail view the html files just show icons and not a thumbnail of the page. I have de-selected and re-selected thumbnail views in the folder options but that doesn't work. I can view images / pictures and even photoshop files using the mystic thumbs tweek but the html files just show an icon of a sheet of paper. I have Firefox as my default browser and changing this to IE then just shows the IE icon.

Have trawled through google and lots of chat about pictures and video thumbnails not working but no answers to html files.

Just thought I would try here seeing as there seems to be plenty of Win 7 knowledge.

Thanks for that Nigel but have tried it in both 32 bit and 64 bit but neither seem to work?

I installed the visual studio files in both 32 and 64 bit but still no joy. Don't suppose you have any ideas?

    Hi Martin,

No idea why it would not work for you - all I did was install it following the instruction to run the bat file to register the .DLL as admin - and it just worked - I didn't do anything about the VS files but I have various VS apps installed already

Ok, it is working now. It seems that the folder I was looking at was the only one not working? All the others have the thumbnails but this one folder, which was the first one I opened..and then kept going back to, was the only one not to display the thumbnails.

Not sure why that is but the other folders seem to work fine..thanks very much for your help Nigel.

    You're Welcome

You may find that the one folder does display eventually - sometimes the thumbnail cache can take a while to refresh - sometimes it's several re-boots before things catch up

Don't worry about the tick - if you need a thread marked solved click on the report post triangle and request it - I will mark it now
