Is there a way to get Win 7 search to show what I ask i

In xp when I searched it listed what I asked it for. This is not so with Vista & now 7.
Example: I would use the ` Symbol, (lower case & the character to the left of 1) to mark my Favorites & in xp it brought up only the names with the ` in it like, Mike at the Beach` In Vista & now 7it brings up nothing.
Is there a way to get Win 7 search to show what I ask it for?

Hi and welcome

What folders do you have marked for indexing? are the files with '`' symbol in those folders?

If you are being specific when you are searching. Use quotes: "`something..." I found you don't even need to finish when using the startmenu search box.

I still can’t figure out win 7’s search. I have better luck with Agent Ransack that I learned about when I was trying to figure out how to search in Vista.
I just did a search in my picture folder for Boat & Agent Ransack found 98 files & win 7 found 83. Win 7 didn’t find sailboat & a few others that didn’t have a space between the two words like FireBoat, Fire Boat.

I see now that win 7 just doesn't work like xp, Agent Ransack does so I'll use it most of the time. The only problem with Agent Ransack is that it doesn't let me rename the file
