I set myself up in the original user account which sets up as administrator. Windows 7 lets me do administrative thing.. Software programs do not recognize me as the administrator.
I was told that this intial account is not a true administrator account. I have to create a new one..
I had to do this already once because Roxio installation deleted all the desktop icons and even if I opposite clicked on a software item and said send to desktop it would not go..
I renamed my original user account and created my new one under the name I wanted.. But found I became myname_2 in some things like with "my Documents"
then spent about an hour 1/2 reseting my preference, exporting & importing my mail.. etc..
Is there a better way to set up a new account with the name I have on my current account.. and migrate my information over to it?
