Windows 7: 2 small problems with my PC

I two small problems with my PC.

1. Mostly in Windows 7 the resolution jumps from the normal 1400x900 to 1024x768 for no reason, is there a way to lock it on 1400x900 which is my normal resolution?



2. When I plug in my digital camera in Windows Vista, nothing happens and one of other items connected via USB goes off like the mouse. Why is this happening?

Both problems sound like a driver issue. I can help more if you completely fill out your system specs. It will help knowing the motherboard manufacturer and model.

Motherboard =

Make sure you have your monitor drivers installed and that the resolution you want is one your monitor will except

Are there Windows 7 drivers available from your motherboard manufacturer? If so, have you downloaded them and installed them yourself? You'll need the chipset drivers and the onboard video drivers.

Windows 7 problem is fixed. But the digital camera one isn't, please help.
