Right click the icon and check if there's a "Pin to start Menu" Option. I've seen it a lot on my Windows 7 computer, although right now I'm on the Vista one so I can't verify right now.

Try dragging the icon to the start button and dropping it there.

Hi Redgaz, welcome to the Seven Forums.

Click , right click All Programs and choose Open All Users. Start menu programs are stored here in Programs folder. Copy your shortcut here to show it in the Start Menu.

Everything you want to have in your Start Menu should be placed in the folder I told you. It's no difference if it is a folder, a program or a shortcut. Just copy or move the Works icon to that folder and it's back where you want it.

Slow program exit back to desktop
Lately when I exit a program (doesn't seem to matter which program I'm in), the desktop will reappear, but the last screen in the program will VERY SLOWLY disappear in inch-square chunks--like one per 3-4 seconds. I press Esc and the desktop then fully reappears. Any idea what's going on here?...
