    Middle Mouse Button

I use a program that requires me to middle mouse click and sometimes holding the middle mouse button and clicking with the right one...

but it keeps coming up with a windows 7 open programs scrolling option in the middle of my screen... could someone advise me on how to remove it please.

Can you tell us what program you mean also what mouse do you have and have you installed the drivers for the particular mouse you have.

Depending on what you have you probably have options to set how the buttons and wheel work.

I am experiencing the same problem. Using Catia V5 and V6 i cannot use the middle mouse function. I installed intellimouse from microsoft and now i am experiencing for the first time a function of the middle mouse button, anyhow not the one required. Instead of double clicking or autoscrolling it keeps on using the "flip" function. Change is not possible. Anybody any ideas how to disable these windows 7 middle mouse button features?

I don't think it's a Windows 7 feature - it's the Intellimouse software that assigns the middle mouse button to do what it's doing on your computer.

I don't have any mouse software installed, and my middle mouse click does nothing (except on taskbar icons, where it opens a new instance).

See if you can re-assign the middle mouse button to just do the standard middle mouse button click instead of the 'flip' funciton you mentioned.

Devices and Printers right-click on the image of the mouse Mouse settings.

The option you require is highlighted. Just scroll down the list until you get to the required action.
