I would not recommend trying this one to remove the evaluation text from the desktop since it seems to be causing this issue so far.

Hello to both of you....

Yeah it seems to be a dead end as it stands now; maybe later it will evolve into something that works. I've tried at least four attempts so far. I can get the text to "go away" but it's a mess after that!

@Brink, thanks for all the help!

@Norm, I'm glad you posted the article it was worth a try. I did get the "Superbar" revealed with it! And I activated the day I installed 7.

WMP12 Library View Problem, Looking for a Tweak
In WMP12 my music library view defaults to "Tile Mode" when there's still tons of space remaining for more artist blocks. It only stays in true "Icon View" when there's 24 artists or less in my library. The second I add a 25th, it goes stupid and into the drop down "Tile Mode". The thing that...

Tweak RAM?
I bought a Compaq CQ3220AN for work. It has a M2N68-LA (Narra6L) MOBO with 2GB generic 1333 DDR3 and 2GB Corsair 1333 DDR3. Problem is, the RAM is only running in dual channel mode and is running very slow (winsat mem gives a result of around 8900!) I can't do anything in the BIOS as it's locked. I...

Taskbar Tweak
Rather than use a third party docking bar, I'm determined to use the new W7 taskbar. However, I've found changing the icons; pinning and unpinning programs, folders, and files; and positioning the icons on the taskbar to be hit or miss. I've found a simple but effective way to do all three using...
