Windows 7 only uses a Service when its required, it
will not run any service thats either not is use by an application or when its not required, disabling the ReadyBoost service on Windows 7 will only prevent its use in the future...if and when you decide to try use it two or three years down the road when you forget you disabled it then try using it, then it will be problematic
If the Readyboost tab is still present on the HDD properties then it will still function, if the service is non-existent then it just means Microsoft are using a
driver instead of a service since
drivers have better performance
