UAC prompts along with screen flick

Is anyone else with me on this? I run UAC high, prompts all the time, tis what i want. What i DONT care for is it being accompanied with a slight pause, then screen goes black for about 1/2 second THEN the prompt shows. Such a nag of a thing, and weary on the eyes.... may need to see the eye doc after a month of this.

That's Secure Desktop Mode. It happens for a reason. You can stop it from happening but it's less secure. If you change the UAC control to the level just under Default in 7, it won't do it. ANd here's a tutorial on it for Vista, as you couldn't control it in Vista like in 7.

well i want all the prompts, just why the screen black flicker? sometimes its a longer "pause" than others. Mainly if hadnt had a prompt in awhile, the pause and black screen lasts a tick longer. I want the High level UAC, just not the darn flicker

You can't have both. If you read the tutorial, it will tell you why it goes dark and freezes.

Its to prevent an application from Spoofing (copying) the Interface and tricking you into entering your details

I hate how you cant have UAC turned to the high setting to make Microsoft`s built-in applications prompt but have Screen-Darkening turned off, it lags on every last single system
