Showing Icons In Taskbar ? Hello,
First, thanks to all for all the previous help; appreciate it very much.
Re the bar on the bottom, which I guess is called the Taskbar:
Have several icons on it, which is fine.
But it won't accept any more new ones if I try to drag some onto it.
I right clicked on the bar and pulled up the Taskbar Tab under properties.
I have the Lock The Taskbar box un-checked, and have also selected
Never Combine next to the Taskbar Buttons: line.
Seems like it's still trying to pin the icons to others, and Not show them visually as completely separate icons in the bar.
What might I be doing wrong ?
BTW: also, any way of having the icon names Permanently displayed next to the icon on top or below the particular icon ?
Thanks,
Bob
Thanks,
Bob

I tried to pin both programs and files to my taskbar, after reading your question. It did not work and here is why. You must right click on the task bar first to unlock it. The any files or programs that you want to drag will be pinned. I think it will also be pinned to the start menu | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Dell XPS 420 OS Windows 7 Home Premium SP1, clean install, upgrade disc CPU Intel Core2 processsor Q8200(2.33Ghz 1333FSB) Quad Core Tech Motherboard Dell Memory 6 gb Graphics Card ATI Radeon 256MB HD3650 Sound Card Intergrated 7.1 Channel Audio Monitor(s) Displays Dell SP2009W 20" Keyboard Dell USB Keyboard Mouse Dell Premium Optical USB Cooling Fan Hard Drives 640 GB Serial ATA Hard drive Internet Speed DSL 2.85 Showing Icons In Taskbar ? problems?
