'Rename' box doesn't show up when I rename a file shortcut
So basically (I'll try to be descriptive), I have an Excel file (extension xlsm) on my USB and I right click it, send to --> desktop (create shortcut). I see the shortcut. I right click and attempt to rename it with a different file extension, but the 'Rename' box doesn't show up like I believe it...

Son changed C: drive to Z: Not cannot get computer to boot to proper drive, nor can I figure how how to rename drive back to C: How can this be done? Cannot access any of my files, etc., and (of course) Windows 7 installation disk does not work. HELP!!

Can't Rename folders on my USB
Hi, Here is the problem: I open my USB drive from My Computer, add a new folder, right click it and select rename. after typing the new name, i hit wnter, then, Wham!!, W7 shuts down and reboots. This is hapening with all USB drives I put into the PC. Have I missed a setting or something in W7...
