Windows 7: No paste when in libraries

No paste when in libraries

Hey guys, not sure if anyone noticed or noticed and did not bother them but if I open libraries, (pictures for example) and then I'm moving files from one folder to another, if I select the files then go to the destination folder and right click on it to paste the files there, there is not an option to paste.

However if I browse to the folder by going to the drive and then to the folder and right clicking on it, the paste option is there.

See screenies.

Libraries no paste option

Browsing paste option.

Anyone annoyed by this, I'm getting a huge use out of the libraries feature but the lack of some context menu items does not make sense.

64-bit Windows 10 Pro

Hi Boxterduke,

The Libraries are a bit different since the folders are displayed as a group instead in the one library folder. To copy the files to a certain folder in a library, you will have to open the folder you want them in and right click on a empty space in that folder window instead.

Hope this helps,

Yeah that is what I noticed, I just wish we can right click on the folder and paste, it saved an extra step from going inside the folder.

Thanks though.

It would be nice since we do have a included folder in the library set as the default Save To folder anyway.

Looks like another item to send feedback to Microsoft about.
